CAN LIGHT-SCATTERING TECHNIQUES BE APPLIED TO FLOW-THROUGH CELL ANALYSIS?
1 Physics Department, Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama 36830
Much of the information deduced from the scattering of light from cells is briefly reviewed with a minimum of optical theory. It is shown that many of the existing methods can possibly be applied to cells flowing one at a time through a detecting volume in automated analysis. Outlined are some potentially promising optical systems which may provide light-scattering applications for flow-through cell analysis. Submitted on February 4, 1974
